Hello! My name is Tarmo, and I’m the proud owner of Training Estonia. I have nearly 30 years of experience under my belt with IT, having worked in private business for over three decades.
I’m passionate about promoting lifelong learning, which has been a core part of my journey for many years. Specifically, I spent 18 years in banking and was responsible for building IT solutions that served more than 6 billion customers.
Throughout my vibrant career, I’ve held various positions at a variety of IT organizations that have allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. Presently, I’m excited to leverage the knowledge and expertise that I have gained by providing IT training solutions to the world.
My Story
My journey in the field of IT started long before the accessibility of the internet. Being born and raised in a country where IT infrastructure was still at its developing stage, I had to rely on the library to gather knowledge on the subject. From day one, I was determined to learn everything about IT, so I read every IT-related book that I could find in the library. It was not an easy task, but with dedication and hard work, I was able to gain an in-depth understanding of the subject.
To further enhance my knowledge and skill, I decided to take an IT course. It was my first step toward professional certification. I chose a course that covered the fundamental aspects of IT and allowed me to have hands-on experience with several IT tools. The course was extremely challenging, but I was determined to excel in it.
Fortunately, my hard work paid off, and I was able to pass the certification exam with flying colors. That was a significant turning point in my career journey as it opened doors to numerous job opportunities. I landed a job in the IT department of a bank, a place I had always wanted to work. The knowledge and skills learned in the course and certification were invaluable in my job performance, and I was able to rise through the ranks quickly.
As I progressed in my career, I came to understand that continuous learning and certification exams were crucial to staying relevant in the ever-evolving IT industry. The field is constantly developing, and new tools and technologies are consistently being introduced. To keep up with these changes, I had to attend several training programs and take more certification exams. I ensured that I remained up-to-date with the ever-changing technology landscape.
I cannot overemphasize the importance of certification exams in any IT career. It is the most reliable means of validating one’s knowledge and competence. Without certification, it is challenging to prove that you have indeed learned and mastered the topic. It’s like finishing school or university without any exam or assessment. Fortunately, with the advancement of technology, live instructors, and on-demand courses, it is now possible to take IT courses and obtain certifications without leaving one’s home or office.
